The cosplay competition marked the grand finale of the 17ᵗʰ edition of the Algiers International Comic Festival (FIBDA) on October 5, 2025, shining a light on some of the country’s most talented performers and costume designers.

Under the direction of jury president and Egyptian artist Rasha Abu Al-Maati, Hamza Mokdad won Best Individual Performance, while Zaatri Farah took home the prize for Best Costume. The Best Duo award went to Lamamra Rachid and Ghenai Meriem.

The Grand Prize, recognizing the best overall performance, was awarded to Maroua Idiri, whose originality and stage presence captivated both the jury and the audience.

Once again, the competition showcased the passion, skill, and professionalism of Algerian cosplayers, who continue to bring the fantastical worlds of comics and animation to life with remarkable dedication.
